Enjoying the Masterpieces

Looks good so far.

The rope was easy to put up, I chose to use 3/4" single side clamping conduit clamps painted black. These were bent slightly to tighten up their hold, but still allows rope movement for shrinkage and expansion. I did choose to also re-heat shrink the ends, though some good electrical tape would suffice.

The rope is soft to the touch, though as expected in the short time it's been up, roughly 3 months, the color has bleached out in the sun and there has been some degradation just at the surface. This layer however will protect that under it, so I suspect this rope will last a long long time outside before it fully degrades.

Needed something to go along the boundary and look beachy. Used this one inch rope and it was perfect for the job.

So far great!

I've had this rope weathering for a couple of weeks. Research says this type of rope will shrink in length and swell in diameter. It has rained nearly every day, which is good the break in the rope. Initially it did shrink a bit, but now it has stretched, but not a lot.

I left plenty of length and will tie the end knot more permanently in another week or so. It has kept its softness so far. This is inch and a half rope and the holes drilled are also 1 1/2. Time will tell if the rope swells, but for now it still moves easily. The rope was pulled fairly tightly when first put on, so the picture shows how it has stretched. Deck is still under construction.

Love it!

This rope was perfect for my projects at our lake home. Used for outdoor wall decoration and attached to poles to line driveway. It stretches and retracts depending on the weather. Beautiful!
